The benefits of an air purifier all year round

What are the signs that you should invest in an air purifier?

If you suffer from asthma, allergies, or another respiratory condition that can be aggravated by airborne particles, an air purifier can provide some relief. Air purifiers are especially important in these households because they quickly and quietly clear allergens and other particles, effectively removing odor, pollen, smoke, dust, pet dander, and almost all other pollutants present in the air. Without an air purifier, homes collect a lot of dust and germs, which can lead to health problems. In addition, some purifiers have antimicrobial filters and can eliminate almost all germs and bacteria and inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the filter.

How is air purifier useful in spring season?

Spring is a welcome time for most of us to open our windows. Unfortunately, this is how we invite many springtime allergens into our space. Everyone must have noticed when a ray of sunlight comes through the window and you can see all the dust, pollen and other airborne particles floating in our kitchen. Most of us wish these particles would go away after a few weeks, but they persist through the summer and, with the addition of molds, increase again in the fall when the leaves drop. Almost every season is allergy season.

As most people try to make their homes more comfortable, safe and healthy for themselves and their families, let's not forget about this one invisible thing in every space we live in, but we tend to take for granted; the very air we breathe! Consider a quality air purifier for the rooms where we spend most of our lives.

What are some factors to consider when buying an air purifier?

Make sure the unit is designed to handle the size of the room it is intended to be used in. Pro Tip: A larger wattage unit may run at a lower setting that is quieter than a correctly sized unit operating at maximum setting.

True HEPA and carbon filters may sound like technological overkill, but without them you're just a fan. Remember that true HEPA cleans just "those particles" (really, really small down to 0.1 microns), and carbon treats odors from gases that HEPA can't capture.

If you can, buy at least one replacement filter for your device, which is recommended to be replaced periodically. A clean filter means clean air.

Some features that might make sense for your situation include air quality monitoring and electronic cruise control. There are night mode and sleep mode, and even Wi-Fi control.
