Product information:

CORPOFIX presents its FV 16 air purifier, which uses UV light, a HEPA filter, an activated carbon filter and a negative ion generator to effectively clean closed areas of viruses and bacteria.

There is growing concern about air pollution levels both outdoors and indoors. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor air can be five times more polluted than outdoor air. Because indoor air does not circulate as much as outdoor air, many of the pollutants in an enclosed space linger significantly longer. Air purifiers can freshen stale air, reducing the chances of health problems caused by pollutants that can cause respiratory infections and neurological disorders. Air purifiers eliminate several types of indoor pollutants, maintaining a clean and healthy air environment.

How does the CORPOFIX FV16 air purifier work ?
The air purifier CORPOFIX FV 16 contains 3 filters, a UV lamp, a fan and a timer. The fan sucks in air and passes it through the internal filters. These filters capture pollutants such as dust, pollen, bacteria and volatile gases, and diffuse clean air back into the room while the UV lamp tackles the more resistant pathogens:

  • Pre-filter : Captures larger pollutants such as dust, animal hair, furniture fabric.
  • HEPA 13 filter: Highest class HEPA filter - captures pollutants as small as 0.3 microns.
  • Activated Carbon Filter : This activated carbon filter effectively captures volatile gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide, and unpleasant cooking odors, aerosols, etc.
  • Ultraviolet light ( UV) : Eliminates resistant microbes in the air.
  • Negative ion generator
  • Timer: The timer makes it easy to use with flexible programming of modes and minimal need for control on your part.

Advantages of an air purifier

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 12 people suffer from some form of asthma. People living with asthma have chronically inflamed bronchi. Pollutants such as microorganisms from pets, pollen, or mites irritate the airways, causing difficulty breathing.

Air purifiers with HEPA filters can remove 99.7 percent of the airborne particles circulating in your home environment. They consist of multi-layer meshes made of fine fiberglass strands that are thinner than a human hair. Pollen, dust mites and pet dander are captured by these threads and keep pollutants to a minimum.

Removing these pollutants can have several immediate and long-term health benefits.

  • Improves sleep

Frequent coughing, sneezing or difficulty breathing are some allergic reactions indicating stale or polluted air, and in some more severe cases, allergens in the air can also cause hay fever. Hay fever can last up to several weeks, and in the long term it disrupts the circadian rhythm of sleep.
Lack of adequate sleep causes daytime sleepiness, which affects your productivity the next day.
Air purifiers with a HEPA filter reduce the chances of allergies by trapping pollutants, thereby improving sleep quality and cognitive function.

  • Protects against airborne diseases

Airborne diseases such as the common cold and flu are spread by small pathogens that are airborne. Air purifiers with HEPA filters trap these bacteria and viruses. If you live with the elderly, children, or someone with a weakened immune system, air purifiers are highly recommended.

  • Eliminates harmful chemicals in confined spaces

Closing the doors and windows of the house does not mean that we can completely block out external pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide. These gases are often found in areas with heavy motor vehicle traffic. Research from the US National Library of Medicine (NLM) shows that exposure to carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide increases the risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Even if you don't live in big cities with a lot of car traffic, the home atmosphere can be contaminated with toxins from cleaning agents. Many common household cleaners contain toxic chemicals such as ammonia, chlorine and phthalates. Exposure to these chemicals in small amounts can be harmless, but routine exposure can lead to serious health problems such as tumor, cancer, cardiovascular or neurological disorders.

Activated carbon air purifiers can clean chemical pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide, avoiding the risk of several health problems in the future.

  • Neutralizes unpleasant odors

Some chemicals such as benzene and formaldehyde break down at room temperature, causing an unpleasant smell. These chemicals, called volatile organic compounds (VOCs), are often found in paints, aerosol sprays, upholstered furniture or air fresheners. The smell of VOCs can cause nausea, shortness of breath and even affect cognitive functions.

Studies by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) show that low levels of VOCs in ambient air improve productivity and concentration. Air purifiers with HEPA and activated carbon filters have been proven to trap these gases and their particles.
