This TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card has been disassembled and rebuilt to provide more stable power and cooling. An all-metal housing houses three powerful axial-technology fans that use durable dual ball bearings. The rotation of the fans is optimized to reduce turbulence, and the stop mode stops all three fans at low temperatures. Underneath, independent heatsinks for the GPU and memory keep temperatures under tight control. Additional features including TUF components, Auto-Extreme technology, GPU bracket and backplate ventilation make TUF a real powerhouse. For builders looking for a new "old faithful" card, this card has you covered. |

Axial-technological improvements
TUF Gaming cards use our proven Axial-tech fan design, with three fans working in tandem to meet the thermal demands of NVIDIA's high-octane design. The fans rely on dual ball bearings to provide consistent performance and increased durability compared to sleeve bearings and other types of bearings.

MaxContact
In order for heat to efficiently enter the heatsink array so that it can be carried away by the powerful axial-technology fans, ASUS uses a manufacturing process that improves the smoothness of the heatsink's surface on a microscopic level. The extra smoothness allows better contact with the die for improved heat transfer.
-
2.7 slot design
The heatsink pulls the heat up into heatpipes, which carry it across a stack of fins filling most of the card's large 2.7-slot area. This generation of TUF Gaming graphics cards also features a dedicated VRAM heatsink to keep temperatures well below maximum operating specifications.

Components of TUF
Components for TUF Gaming graphics cards are selected based on their durability and performance. In addition to top-of-the-line chokes and MOSFETs, capacitors that meet military certifications make the TUF stand tall among the competition. Components are soldered to the PCB using ASUS' advanced Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing process. Smooth connections on the back of the board and the elimination of human error ensure that each graphics card meets ASUS' strict specifications. Finally, to ensure flawless performance when it matters, the cards undergo a grueling 144-hour validation test.
-
Fresh coat
The all-aluminum casing adds rugged protection to TUF Gaming graphics cards, and the no-nonsense industrial design and gray color scheme blend in with any build with ease.

It's cooler in the back
The floor side of the map reveals a host of improvements. Most of the rear is wrapped in a protective metal backplate, which features a wide vent. The vent allows hot air to escape to the chassis exhaust fans instead of going back to the GPU cooler. Under the GPU, a clamp provides constant mounting pressure between the die and the heat spreader. Stainless steel is used for the I/O bracket to protect the ports and provide a more secure mount.
-
Functional front
The RGB element on the top side can be customized to display a range of aesthetic and functional effects, and can also be synchronized with other ASUS components to ensure even lighting. To meet the power requirements of the GeForce RTX 3080, two 8-pin connectors are present, as well as built-in LEDs that light up if the PSU PCIe power connectors are not plugged in properly.
