The specially developed design of the Recon VND Matte Box system provides incredible comfort during use. It also ensures speed and flexibility, which is especially important when shooting movies in different lighting conditions. What's more, the convenient cover and flag will allow you to easily convert the Recon into a practical yet compact Matte Box System. Using a quick release lever will allow you to instantly extend or retract the hood.

The kit allows for as many as 6 powerful configurations for unparalleled flexibility. You can easily combine individual components to create unique configurations such as a threaded base and hood/flag or VND 3-6 filter and Stage 2 filters (sold separately). What's more, both assembly, disassembly and configuration is extremely fast and is done without any tools.

Use the VND 3-6 filter as the core of the Recon system. The filter features a 3-6 range with tactile warning for focal lengths of 35mm or less. You can easily move the Recon 7.5 degrees at focal lengths beyond 35mm. In this configuration you can use the Racon system without the VND 3-6 filter! You'll use the 83mm threaded base as a base for Stage 2 filters as well as shutters and flags - Matte Box setup has never been easier!
